A Quick Update - and Thanks

This is just a quick update for regular readers - and to thank all those who have expressed their concern over my health. I'm currently recuperating - rather slowly - following a potentially serious cardiac problem. I'm receiving treatment and on medication, but I have needed to take a break from the demands of both my usual work - and my blogging.

My aim is to gradually return to regular posting on this blog in the near future, although it might just involve one or two posts a month for now. I do have plenty of prison issues on which I'd like to comment at the moment, but I also need to take things as steadily as possible.

Above all, I would also like to express my sincere appreciation for all the kind messages of support both in the reader comments and via e-mail and Twitter. Thanks to you all and I'll be back soon!
